An AVIO SOA or BPM Engineer is responsible for engineering complex, yet elegant technical solutions by aligning the Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMW) products with client requirements. Candidates will partner closely with business and process analysts as well as client technical teams to deliver comprehensive solutions using Oracle SOA Suite, BPM Suite and WebCenter technologies.   Candidates will possess a strong knowledge of the entire product suite and strong communication skills with both business and technical staff.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement complex, enterprise-class projects using Oracle Fusion Middleware
  • Own and develop process logic, objects, integration points, reports, user interfaces and other configurations to meet client needs
  • Manage technical delivery of FMW based projects through hands-on, expert assistance to development team
  • Ensure agile delivery methodology is used to capture requirements, track progress, and ensure project success
  • Coach and mentor customer and AVIO development resources as needed
  • Provide thought leadership and demonstrate subject matter expertise to prospects and clients, including facilitation of workshops with technical and business team members
  • Effectively document systems specifications through excellent written and verbal communication


  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar
  • 3+ years experience in developing enterprise applications:  Java/JEE, .Net or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience with SOA and integration technologies: SOAP, BPEL, XSLT, WSDL, XML, XSD, Web Services, XQuery, JMS
  • 2+ years experience in one or more Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies:
    • Oracle ADF 
    • Oracle BPM Suite 11g, 12c
    • Oracle SOA Suite 10g, 11g, 12c
    • WebCenter Content
  • 2+ years of SQL and relational database background
  • Solid background in automated testing and deployment strategies
  • Consulting background preferred
  • Oracle product specialization certification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with successfully applying iterative and agile development methodologies
