Technical Architect

Avio Consulting is seeking a Sr. Business Process Management (BPM) Consultant to provide technical architecture and leadership in delivering world-class business solutions.

Avio Consulting's team assists in defining and architecting an organization's BPM strategy and developing solutions using market leading BPM tools and techniques. Our team provides expertise in process design, application integration, user interface development, business activity monitoring, and custom application development.

Job Description:  

The selected individual(s) will be responsible for the following:

• Participate in all phases of the implementation lifecycle
• Assist customer in leveraging BPM to deliver rapid, low-cost solutions
• Contribute to project delivery including progress tracking, change control, and overall governance process
• Maintain and progress product knowledge with various vendor tools
• Utilize strong SDLC development skills in deploying customized solutions
• Work directly with teams in architecting reliable, scalable, agile solutions
• Create architecture diagrams and solution design documentation
• Gather customer requirements and align with BPM technology
• Work independently or as part of a team at customer sites
• Prepare estimates for parts of a solution
• Ensure all identified issues are communicated appropriately
• Contribute to the development of implementation methodologies, tools and techniques
• Communication to customer's technical leadership including CIO
• Significant travel up to 75%
• Mentor colleagues in BPM best practices
• Utilize iterative development methodology tools and techniques

Qualifications/Necessary Skills Skills

• Ideal candidate will have a combination of experience as a technical team leader, demonstrated expertise in IT project delivery, previous experience with application architecture and integration using messaging-oriented middleware and web services, and hands-on programming expertise in Java, Javascript, .Net, Perl, JSP, ASP, SQL, etc..
• In-depth knowledge of J2EE is required
• In-depth knowledge on at least one of the Process Management concepts such as Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Business Process Analysis (BPA), Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) is required.
• Dynamic web interface design using JSP or ASP.net is required
• Application integration with Java APIs, EJBs, or Web Services is required.
• Experience with enterprise software engineering/consulting, databases and web technology solutions is highly regarded.
• 7+ yrs proven experience in software development, implementation or integration on-site with enterprise clients.
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 70%
• Strong academic record at a competitive university is also required.
• Previous experience in management consulting or software company is considered a significant advantage.
• Product or implementation expertise in any of the following is highly regarded: Fuego, BEA Weblogic, Documentum, Tibco Staffware, WebMethods, IBM Websphere, Lombardi, Savvion, Metastorm, Global 360, FileNet, etc.

Education

• BA/BS in Management Information Systems or equivalent preferred
