Course Description:
This is an intensive one week hands-on workshop that simulates a real project, providing the depth necessary for proficiency. This class covers essential topics and features in the latest version of Oracle BPM 10gR3 not available in any other Oracle training courseware. A challenging case study is used throughout the boot camp to apply the lessons learned in a real life scenario. Students will present their solution as a part of the last day of class and receive constructive feedback on their implementation.

Target Audience:

Prerequisites:
1-2 years of Java or .Net experience plus HTML/JSP/ASP knowledge
Objectives:
At the end of this class, students attending will be able to:
- Describe a business process
- Discuss how a Business Process Management Suite can help an organization define and optimize business processes
- Describe how a process model is modeled, developed, tested, deployed and run
- Identify the components of a business model
- Identify BPM team members and roles
- Discuss high level BPM best practices recommended by Avio
- Describe how running business processes are monitored and analyzed
- Describe the Avio BPM Implementation Methodology for modeling and implementing business processes with Oracle BPM
- Create projects and processes using Oracle BPM Studio
- Develop code using the Oracle Process Business Language (PBL)
- Describe and use the basic design patterns
- Develop code for all activity types, including multiple gateways, subflows, send message, message waits, and correlations
- Use Oracle BPM Studio to define and manage users and roles
- Debug PBL code
- Develop BPM objects
- Implement exception handling at the business process and code levels
- Develop business process UI (screenflows and presentations)
- Analyze complex business processes and their patterns
- Apply complex process patterns to business processes using Oracle BPM Studio
- Create business rules and use them inside a process
- Implement deadline-based activities and processes
