AVIO Consulting Reveals 2013’s Top Business Process Management Trends
Leading Oracle Partner advises users on how to prepare for the future of BPM

Dallas, Texas (January 17, 2013) — AVIO Consulting announced today it has identified the top five trends that will drive Business Process Management (BPM) change in 2013. A leading Oracle partner, the consulting firm pinpointed mobile BPM, iBPM, strategic BPM, case management, and flexibility and agility as the most pressing of several rapidly growing BPM trends.

“After reviewing a number of leading trends, we determined these were the most pressing due to the amount of change they are expected to influence,” AVIO Consulting Vice President, Brandon Dean said. “Given the impact these trends will have, we strongly recommend Oracle users learn all they can in order to incorporate them in new BPM projects.”

First among them, efforts to improve mobile BPM are expected to increase. Despite a lack of mobile industry standards and the Web-related security concerns that have prevented the expansion of mobile BPM in the past, today’s users demand a full suite of mobile features and functionality.

A new intelligent BPM product ecosystem, iBPM, will enable businesses to integrate real-time intelligent social, mobile and analytical processes in order to better adapt to changing market trends. The ecosystem is expected to enable businesses to achieve increasingly complex goals.

Strategic BPM will connect the practical BPM operational model with unique business objectives. Strategic BPM will refocus the methodology towards organizational goals and strategy, and is expected to drive the business value of BPM farther than ever before.

Playing an increasing presence in Oracle BPM solutions, case management includes a broad array of document and record management, operational intelligence and events processing capabilities. It is likely to replace the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) today’s users find lacking.

BPM has already proven to reduce costs and improve efficiency, but increasing interest will be placed on the value process flexibility and agility can provide. Businesses will be able to improve, strengthen and grow customer relationships through the expansion of those features.

As with any shifts in the IT landscape, education will play a key role in supporting organizations during new BPM initiatives and projects. The first North American specialized partner for Oracle Unified BPM and creator of AVIO Academy—one of the industry’s most unique Oracle training programs—AVIO is uniquely prepared to provide that support.
