AVIO Consulting

Avio Again Mentioned in Gartner Research

Nov 22, 2010 | BPM

Gartner recently released their research report from Oracle OpenWorld entitled “Oracle OpenWorld 2010: BPM Plays an Important Supporting Role” and it was nice to see Avio mentioned in the research report.  For those keeping score at home (probably just me and our marketing department), this is the third time Avio is included in a Gartner report on BPM.  We are also included in the research report “Who’s Who in Business Process Management Consulting and System Integration” and in “The BPM Consulting and System Integration Capabilities of the Top BPMS Vendors.”

During the conference, I sat down with Gartner’s Michelle Cantera and talked about how we currently see BPM being leveraged, our thoughts on how BPM can be applied at a strategic level in large organizations, and also brought her up to speed on what we have been doing with Oracle BPM 10gR3, Oracle BPM 11g, and some of the other Oracle products we see as complimentary to the BPM stack, such as Oracle Real Time Decisioning.  In addition to talking to the various analysts about what we are doing, Avio also co-presented a session at the conference entitled “Optimizing Real-Time Decisions with Oracle Business Process Management Suite.”  The session was presented by Gary Buffington, Executive Vice President at Avio Consulting and Nicolas Bonnet, Senior Director, Product Management Real‐Time Decisions at Oracle and was very well received.  The session drew quite a bit of interest from a number of the analysts we spoke with as it as it may be the first use of Oracle RTD within the context of an Oracle BPM implementation.

I want like to thank everyone who helped make the conference a success and look forward to expanding the relationships formed with the various people we met at our booth, during one of the sessions, or any of the multitude of events held during the conference.
